Film for Action Learning

CHIBOW partner FAPAD’s research project Film for Action Learning entered its second phase. Following a baseline survey of rural communities in Lango and Acholi (Uganda) which host children born of war, the research team, project lead Eunice Apio, research assistant Babra Otuke, and project psychologist Peace Toneva, supported by some of the children born of war who had co-produced a documentary about their experiences, have used film screenings to develop a participatory action learning programmes.

Following the implementation of the learning programmes, the research team will revisit the local communities to assess the effectiveness of the film for this learning process.
